Yeah, but I totally agree - I often find that there is a "tit for tat" thing going on with commenting but I myself only comment if I want to and not because of who it is - OK, that may sometimes mean that I leave comments on just about all of some people's picts due to the fact that I like them all - hence I've added them to my faves.

I've said recently to someone in an IM that I look forward to opening an email notifying me that someone, who I personally classify as a great photographer (and there are a few of you - you know who you are!!) has commented on one of my uploads - I know I will be getting good, honest comments from those people and it usually means that they have found my pict good enough (hopefully!) to look at in the first place - even if it still requires critique.
