I doubt that someone whom is advanced enough to know how to rig meshes, and kind enough to do it for you just for the asking, would resort to snagging someone else's mesh... 

Plus, being that rigging (depending on the model) can take some time and effort, rather then worrying about being ripped off, I tend to offer to acknowledge it as a collaboration. otherwise, you're sort of taking their work without acknowledging or appreciating it.
