THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Happy Days

Attached Link: Apogee

A while ago I posted an image entitled 'Apogee' (link attached, hopefully).  Some of you will know it was entered into a competition at my University to find 'Engineering based art' to adorn the foyer and corridors of my department.

Well I will be re-rendering it sometime soon because this morning I got an e-mail informing me that my entry had been SUCCESSFUL, and that I am required for consultation about where and how the 'full size' piece is to be displayed.  They have asked me to consider a few changes to the piece, and for the most part I am happy to oblige them (although I will be thinking long and hard before putting a deliberate mistake in the equations!).

This is the first piece of my work that will be on 'public' display, so to speak, and I cannot express in words how happy I am.
I'm writing this because I want to thank everyone here for the role they've played in helping me grow as an atrist/brycer; be it comments, IM's, gallery views and everything else.
Thanks guys.

Huge congrats. As Stoner and Gog said, its always nice to get some recognition :) Out of curiosity, why do they want one of the equations to be wrong?

Hey! Congrats!!  I had wondered what equation editor you were using. I use MathCAD.

Well done indeed!

Thanks again guys! Hrm - That link doesn't work. Sorry about that. Flak: I've no idea! I won the rocket design competition at Uni 2 years back - so I can vouch for all the equations I've used. I'll have to wait until the 'consultation' to see what their motives are. D@M: MathCAD all the way! Said rocket (that was also the inspiration for 'Apogee') was designed in MathCAD. Its my favourite engineering tool. I've also used it to design a glider, a flying taxi, a next-gen badminton shuttle and a mars rover. All of which worked!

congratulations, it is a very nice piece of work.

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!
