Might be found in a kitchen

newleaf ( ) posted Thu, 03 May 2007 at 12:53 AM

First thing that springs to mind is an egg rack but it looks a bit rusty for that.
Got it,  I think its the cutter grid for a mincer, the holes where the meat comes through

MGD ( ) posted Thu, 03 May 2007 at 7:41 AM

WOW!!! I'm very impressed that you were able to guess so rapidly ... and
on the image alone.

But that's it.  I would name it a cutting disk for a Braun meat grinder/sausage
maker ...

Now you'll have to show us something from your kitchen.  [grin].

p.s. Thanks to inshaala for his thoughts on "Setting up your own mini studio".

p.p.s.  Must use larger towel next time -- for the photo, that is.

newleaf ( ) posted Thu, 03 May 2007 at 12:59 PM

I use one, it's the old fashioned type from years ago, but its different in shape to the one you have.

Are we allowed to have two running at the same time? (WOE I mean not mincers).

TwoPynts ( ) posted Thu, 03 May 2007 at 1:12 PM

I think it is okay to have two running at once... the staff are not ogres about that sort of thing! ;'P

Thanks Kort, Hugs

Here we go, but not in the kitchen but the office or study etc. Hope its not too easy

TwoPynts ( ) posted Fri, 04 May 2007 at 9:49 AM

Nope. Looks familiar, but can't quite place it...

newleaf ( ) posted Fri, 04 May 2007 at 2:25 PM

Again there are different shapes, and sizes, and colour is very importent too. Placing it, well it has to be in the right place or things will look very odd.

TwoPynts ( ) posted Fri, 04 May 2007 at 2:47 PM

Sorry, I am stumped. That little dial with the arrow should give me a clue but...

TwoPynts ( ) posted Fri, 04 May 2007 at 3:06 PM

Kort Kramer - Kramer Kreations

newleaf ( ) posted Fri, 04 May 2007 at 4:39 PM

No not a lamp. It is a small part of the whole.

noperoonie, this slightly larger crop should give it away

TwoPynts ( ) posted Fri, 11 May 2007 at 8:25 AM

It sure does. One of those mechanical music box boards. The wheel with the spikes turns and as the spikes 'pick' a column, it creates the note.

aangus ( ) posted Fri, 11 May 2007 at 8:25 AM

Is it part of a music box thingy, you know, where the barrel with spikes turns and the spikes play the notes of the tune on the prongs ...thats it ....music box prongs?

aangus ( ) posted Fri, 11 May 2007 at 8:27 AM

part of some type of mill... guessing watermill due to the environment - although i cant think watermills were used with cast iron...
