That so sucks Richard!!  I had the same problem a few years ago with break ins.  Since my house is the only house on a Cul de Sac and no neighbors it was an easy target.  I put in dead bolts and locks on my windows but that still didn't deter them from coming in.  I decided that these guys would stop at nothing to get in.  Days before a major break in, I used a engraving tool and put my social security number on all my equipment including the stereo and TV.  Sure enough I came home and all was gone!  But the idiot who stole my stuff pawned it at a local shop right up the street!!  With in an hour of reporting it to the police, I had my stuff back and the guy went to jail.  Since then I have put in an alarm system, and am happy to report no further break ins....knock on wood.  Man theirs no worse feeling than to have your stuff ripped off.....everyone becomes suspect.  Hope they catch those butt heads that broke in your place.
