would it be possible to send a personal message to a user directly out of the forum thread?
This would be very useful I think because sometimes you don't want to give an answer within the thread but maybe you want to sent a message to the user.

If you click on the "Homepage" under the member's name/avatar then the site mail box is on that page :-)

But IMHO this is one click to much.

What kind of set up were you envisaging, X-PaX? Maybe I misunderstood what you meant.

I'm not sure how you could send a message without having to click to another page? Are you talking about having the compose box right there in the thread?

No I think about a link like the homepage link. This link should open the Site Mail page and automatically insert the name of the user into the field.

But that is on the homepage? At the bottom of the page, there is a box right there to email or site mail the member...

Yes we have it. But if somebody has made some homepage data at the header and has selected a featured image the mail link is at the bottom and you have to scroll down to see it.

But I think it is okay.
