I hate reworking images because I get bored of them very quickly. However, what I've been doing with my last 2 uploads was looking at the comments and then reworking the image for a final upload. I leave the first image up, and then upload the final product with "Final -Revisited" beside the title. This way people can see the progression of the image and know that I'm not going to rework the image anymore.
The reason I do this is because if you upload an edited image, who knows about it? You need to sent a PM to everyone who commented so that they can look at it again. Then there is the fact that earlier comments are no longer relevant to the image because they have been changed/fixed, so that really messes things up for someone who may come along down the road and look at your image and then look at the comments and wonder "WTH?"
I don't know how people manage to pump out an image or even more per day. So this is what works for me.
"It is good to see ourselves as
others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we
are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not
angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to
say." - Ghandi
