If you want to be technical (sorry-the old teaching habits are hard to break) this is more in the line of Gothic/Maximillion Plate Armour. Plate Mail should be termed a more acurate Plate "and" Maille. It was the transitional to the full body covering armour with multiple lames to cover the joints from the earlier ridgid plates covering the "straight" parts of the pby with cahin maille filling in. If you'd like (since I am hunting through the books for something else) I can post a set of armours and weapons with their names, ages and countires of origin. (Sorry again.
