Aw. I'm so sorry, Richard. And while it's true, the material loss could have been greater, it still feels bloody awful to have had your home invaded like that. Just the thought of 'strangers' walking around my home...touching my things...creeps me out. I truly feel for you...  :^(

I'm sure they'll be caught soon. They're obviously not the sharpest tools in the shed, talking to your neighbors and struggling with double-locks.....'from the inside'...
