The MarketPlace Wishing Well F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 24 6:40 am)
Have an idea for a MarketPlace product? Would you like to let the MarketPlace Merchants know?
This is the place!
Make sure you check The Product Showcase Forum and The Product Showcase Art Gallery.
Just an idea but... maybe... it would be possible to make a transmap of the injury area so that a hole would appear no matter what bodysuit texture was applied to the figure, then a modeled injury, muscles, bone ends, etc., modelled to match up with the hole and appear beneath the level of the figures skin could be added as a smart prop.
Dunno if its doable, but it sounds feasible. LOL

I will have a little play too see if it is doable/feasible.
A similar idea that I discussed with someone a while ago was for operation type add ons.
That is... a cloth draped over a figures chest or other area in the cloth room initially... then cut a hole in that cloth in modeller.. add modelled cavity, clamps, organs etc., then a transmap to create a hole in the figure.
That one should be easier... cos the the transmapped hole would not have to be so precise as the cloth/organs model would cover it.

Quote - Thats an excellent operating room scene, although the cloth looks a bit thick perhaps (?)
Agreed...
The cloth appears thicker, because I made the cavity quite deep to emphasise the method I was thinking of.
A proper version should have less depth and with the addition of suitable clamps, etc., around the edge of the cavity and more detailed (modelled) innards and the cloth textured properly so that the edges are suitably blood stained... it could look much better.
In fact... there would probably be no need to make a transmapped 'hole' for the figure being operated on as I suggested previously... as the operation area/site could be raised slightly above the relevant area of the figure underneath.

I've seen RAWArt's Good as Dead texture - and its excellent. But I think it would be awesome if there were more tramatic textures (like big chuncks of flesh ripped away to reveal muscle beneath for example) that you could perhaps apply to the bodysuits that would allow the texture you applied for the character to show through on the un-damaged areas. Perhaps its been done .. but I just haven't found the gore level I'm looking for.
Just enjoying the Vue. :0)
