Maybe if the Rider-Waite deck was used as a standard to rally about? some decks swap the MA cards about numerically.. which does alter the readings 8 ) Most every one playing with Tarot have used a rider deck at least once. and the symbolism was simplifiyed a bit as well. unless you really want to use the Hermetic 8 ) I kinda like the princess cards...
