unfortunatly, merchants want to know what your using so they will be able to determine if it is worth their time to make those special files for P4 (rsr), can they afford to drop P4 and 5 support and create only mc6 (material collection) file for use in P6 and 7, or take the time to create DS materials, or perhaps even create materials in other programs (if they can even do that).
Merchants want to know where the market is and some things just can't be determined by sales alone.
sure, poles are inaccurate, can be intentionaly skewed, but so are sales. sometimes you just need to get all the info and compare it as best you can.
