I'll offer a few guesses here...
Is the remapped OBJ definitely in the proper folder(and runtime) that the cr2 points to?
Normally poser will ask you to locate the OBJ file manually if it can't find it but, I have occasionally run into this problem whenever I resave an altered figure into a different runtime.
Is the OBJ's xyz cords all set to zero? Sometimes, when I import 3ds models they appear invisible because they are actually way out of the camera's viewing range. Try using different cameras to see if your model is in fact invisible.
Are the normals Inverted? This delves into areas that I'm not to clear on, so I colud be way off base here.
These guesses are probably redundant for someone that can hack cr2's but, sometimes the obvious can make you oblivious . Afterall, the first question out of any tech support call is usually "Is the computer plugged in?". It's surprising how often this question will ACTUALLY fix the problem .
