Hey folks, can anyone help me find something, please? I'm trying to find a specific type of knight's helmet and I've had no luck. To see the kind I need please look at http://market.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewImage=9710 or see the attached .gif file. I only need the helmet... I have everything else. But I can't find just the helmet. Obviously if you know where I can get it free that would be great! But I'd probably even be willing to spend a few dollars to get it. I need to have it in either .obj or .3ds form, or as a Poser ready prop. I've searched all over and can't find it anywhere for less than $20 which is waaaay over my budget for just a helmet. Please reply to my e-mail with the subject line "Helmet" since I can't check Renderosity as often as I'd like.  My e-mail is  [arrowhead@hot-shot.com](mailto:arrowhead@hot-shot.com) Please let me know if you know where I can get one, and thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer!

Maybe this! You can thank Vince3 for this one, he directed me to this site for something I wanted and I just happened to come across this and remembered your post!

Hi, I tried searching for something like this and didn't have any luck.

Perhaps try posting in the FREE forum and asking if someone can perhaps make you one?

another thing that will help, is if you tell us what character it's for...;) Though to be perfectly honest, this could cover a multitude of sins..;)

The helmet's not really for any one particular character (although I've toyed with the idea of making a "King Arthur" with it), but just a knight in general. I've got several other helmets, but from a lot of the books I've seen on Medieval history, this type that I'm looking for seems to be by far, the most common, and thus, for the look I'm trying to accomplish, it'll be the most authentic.

well...I stand humbled. I think the problem with this is that I actually included the holes for the mouth; a good modeler would have textured them in. It causes problems with tris and n-gon polys, that @#$'s up the mesh. I used M3 as the model.

Well, I think the helmet turned out pretty good. I especially like the dark color of the texture... almost evil and frightening looking. I think you did a good job of it
