It would seem odd if someone only had a modelling app. What can you actually do with the model?

For a long time, one of the major makers of clothing for Poser models used Carrara (3), so no doubt Carrara can do what you need. However, some of the specialised modelling apps may do it quicker/ easier(in theory!)--but if you had a problem with Wings you would possibly get into a real mess with Silo (especially the 2 version) and Hexagon. They both are really difficult to learn.

You can not go wrong with Carrara really and, untill you are 3D conversant enough with it,, I can not help but suggest you stick with it . 

Specialised modellimg apps are add ons which you may never truly need.
