that must be one easy ferry to drive :)

Interesting treatment on those images kort it is very "paintery"...

this is one i took when i was out with a mate playing golf... he was playing i was photoing (i'll be posting some of the "better" shots in my gallery soon) :)  The ball was too close in to the back edge for him to stand in there, it was a difficult shot, furthermore so that he lost his sand wedge last week and is using a pitching wedge in this shot... he actually played a better shot than he thought he would and overshot the green into links golfers' friend - the Gorse Bush 😉

awjay ( ) posted Mon, 04 June 2007 at 5:26 PM

it was a yellow poppy ,i duplicated the image and converted it to b/w using a CMYK method i like to use (but i guess any b/w conversion will work) .then i reintroduced some colour using the opacity slider ....james

there I was the only body outside, the thunder struck right over my head as my finger pressed the shutter button, OMG I thought I was hit! The result looks like a funhouse shot, but fun it wasn't LOL So I saved it as a reminder to not stand outside in the heart of a mean storm, doh! Sometimes I wonder about myself

While on a shbort trip a week or so ago, we stayed in a hotel downtown. The building was an old bank building. The hotel took part of the space and made sleeping rooms to rent.  The rooms had 10 ft. ceilings and were quite nice. Breakfast of the continental style was served but that was about it.

The building was a treat to view.  Much was occupied by the bank, on both sides of the hotel. The public access to the bank is shown partially here.  Built in the late 1800's, the bank showed all the "stuff" banks want to show strength and such.   Wonder how they feld during the depression?

Lighting was terrible for a photo. Bright hanging lights are just to the right of the image, kept out of the shot so exposure would not be too messed up.

These look like Corinthian colums, all rich marble. The entire area was marble and old and very impressive. I wish the lighting was different but they want light, not shadow in the bank.

This one is dedicated to Margana. Read her neat quote! It says bigfoot is fuzzy. I agree having this firsthand shot with my own camera...Scary event, so close and smelling that thing. Perhaps even with baking soda under my arms I smelled worse to the big foot.  This is a near first sighting in Tennessee, USA.  Sachquach, Snowman...what the name might be...the feet are very big and the things are likely born blurry.         TomDart.

Hahahaha! This is great! Love it, Tom. Thank you!

Btw, I haven't had an ebot for this thread in sooooooooooo long. I had no idea all this was going on! Fun stuff people. And LOL spiderwebbs' fearlessness cracked me up. Isn't it amazing how all our fears , ( and rationality )  disappear when taking a photo?  ;^P
