To expand upon Acadia's definition:
Craquelure is not traditionally a technique, but a fine cracking of paint generally resulting from age.
The 'look' of craquelure is now emulated through Photoshop/Paintshop Pro (etc) filters.
Regardless, this looks really cool Laslo. Colour me impressed.
How about seeing the resulting mesh/texture from more angles, without the background perhaps. Not to justify your point...just 'cause it'd be cool! :)
