I have done far far better getting a likeness with FaceShop Pro than with Face Room. It is not a no brainer though, the texture must be edited just as a Face Room created texture but the FS texture is far better in my opinion. The mesh must also be used intelegently with dial work in Poser for fine tuning the shape of the head and emphasising features... so it is not a "one-click" cloner but the results are far far supperior to Face Room in my experience.

I am still trying to learn how to use it best but to put it in context, I have bought finished characters from prominent vendors here and had to fix the textures and dial work...  this software does require effort to be put in but it provides very interesting results... I find a likeness dialed in at 50% serves as a great guide to work with dials... it creates the base and indicates the features while dial spinning can refine details like nose tip shape etc. that might not be in the photograph but is known to us with our human facial recognition wet wear. I don't have anyone I want to make a likeness of but I have used it to make say P4 Nude Man's head look like Micheal 3's and mostly to add life to my figures... I find mixing in about 40% of 50% FaceShop can make mesh look more real even if a likness is not a consideration.

I want to see where this program is going so I was very happy to be an "early adopter", the author seems to be commited to refining the program and something I have seen over and over with Poser stuff is how users expand the capability of an application or feature through independent work that they share with others... really pushing the capabilities of something with tricks and techniques. I am confident this will happen with FaceShop.
