Hehe.
That really is me (on an installation art show in Chicago).
The technique is called large-scale photogram.
Basically you cover objects, walls, etc. with lots of photopaper, expose it to light for a minute and  develop it. The photopaper then gets pasted back in its original position and voila - you have shadows of objects and people:-)
