I don't know of any tutorials, but, It's very similar to Poser!
After the figure is installed:
Open program
go to Windows>and make sure content is checked ON
a little directory style browser will appear that can be navigated through
Navigate to 'Figures' then find figure name, might be DazPeople
In the lower pane find a picture of the human figure, and double click.
After couple of minutes of loading, the figure will appear in the main window.
Once the figure is there point at a body part, let's say an arm, find a "PARAMETERS" tab on your screen, and slide the dials named TWIST, BEND or FRONT-BACK around, and watch your figure move it's arm.
That should get him started... I hope.
