probably manipulating the new 3d content ability. That what it' sdesigned for.

Slide it up/down/left or right, and the 3d viewport corrisponds.
tilt or bank it left/right foreward/back and again that's what you get in 3d. Twist it, and the 3d viewport rotates arounf the center point.

Pull up, and the viewport zooms in, pres down, and it zooms out.. or combine any of the manipulations

Very intuitive once you get the hang of it. They also include a image viewer much like windows, but the zoom in/out abilitty is video smooth.

if you work with a lot of 3d applications that support it, or one or two that you use a lot, it becomes a very handy little gadget.

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.
