Subject: How do I make a surface a light?

Hmm, I still did'nt expect the light, itself, to be visible.  Is it's current shape the default?   Could you change that much, with Matmatic; maybe make it a sphere?  I'm wondering if a Matmatic Sky Dome could cast light internally, with any quality?
