*"The light source element itself is never visible."*That's not true?  Allthough not tradition Lights, Poser can add Glow and then Gain, to any Geometry.  Glow would make an object Visible, and Gain would cause it to emmitt light.  But objects that receive only Gain'd Light, are'nt usually very attractively detailed?
