Subject: My first stab at furniture

I know what you mean, when I first started modeling I was always going - (Huh!?). learning curves can do that to ya, and when it comes to Blender. The learning curve is very huge. I'm just starting to get around in it, but I still have a lot to learn.  Once I get this mapping thing down, I'm going to start on animating.
Blender is something I'm just coming back to.  Getting tired of Windows always freezing up when I'm in the middle of something.  I thought I would give Ubuntu Studio a try, I heard a lot of good things about it.
When you get done with your WIP, do a render with the XviD codec. So us people on dail-up can see it.
