I know you said you wouldn't buy any more Poser versions... but I had problems like the one you described every time I tried to render anything but very simple scenes in Poser 6.

In Poser 7 - NO problems. I can render far more complex scenes now. I tried with a scene that never finished in Poser 6 (kept giving me the Out of Memory error no matter what I did) and Poser 7 looked at it, smiled at me and rendered the picture.

One of the reasons is that the memory handling has been much improved. And Poser 7 does take dual/quad cores into consideration.

I can heartily recommend an upgrade.
