Oh I definately know it is going to take time.  Right now I'm just picking the programs ( I had thought I was definately going with Carrara for modeling until the sale).  My truest goal is to simply learn and hopefully start adding to the content available for poor naked apollo.

This is just how I learn best - by doing.  I come up with ideas of what I'd like to do then I just work towards that goal.  Usually many efforts go out the window on the way - but I like to keep the idea of if I learn one new thing every day I am going in the right direction.

As far as resources outside myself - although many people like to point towards   after sitting here at my computer all day long I enjoy the human interaction of asking on the forums.  I did go look for a Real book on modeling - Borders = none, Barnes and Nobles = none.  I didn't check online - one day I might but I hate waiting for shipping.
