I had pointed you to my Hex tutorials before in the Carrara forum. It shows you how to make a manikin of what ever figure you want and you can save that for future use. Then you can delete the unwanted body groups to reduce the overall file size and model around the needed groups.

It also is a good tutorial for beginners, which is who I wrote it for. It also tells you how to export your  figures to and from poser and hex and also the proper scaling numbers needed.
