Yes your tut was another one of the reasons for wanting to try to work with Hex.  I had it bookmarked when the sale started and that was a big selling factor for me.  Trying to use tuts written for one program in another program hasn't worked out too well for me.

 

After you have mastered Hex it will be easy to follow any polygon modeling tutorial from any app :)
