This is a view of the lake, to the left of the electric wire tower supporting the nest.   There is a small inlet below and slightly behind the tower.

After leaving the chick with a fresh fish, 5 minutes passed and the bird came again from the lake with fish in hand. This time, she circled the nest from quite high above as the chicks peeped loudly.  The osprey then flew directly over us into a dead tree in woods behind. Perhaps this bird was eating its own dinner, an almost impossible task if in the nest.  

There is the osprey event.  We really enjoyed watching these magnificient and beautiful birds. This was the third visit to the sight today and it finally paid off, even if still quite far away.    TomD'Art.
