Hi,

Reading some of the "gripe" posts here has been fun, if not a bit informative and at least
now I don't feel like I am the only one using poser who has banged head against monitor
screen time and time again!

I have found myself spouting any number of colorful phrases (I won't mention them here
because I like this community website and don't want to get kicked off.. lol), and some
of the people I room with have deemed me utterly psychotic, which may or may not
be true (sometimes I seriously think it is...), so I was understandably relieved to see that
there was a board where people could vent a bit, or more than a bit in some cases...

At any rate, for my two cents worth, or perhaps 1 and 1/2, this program is extremely difficult to work with, or work against (depending on how you look at it...) after laying down well over 200 of my hard earned dough to purchase version 7 (heck, I thought you know, it's version 7 for criminy sakes, they must have worked the bugs out of it by now!  ??? only to find that if I keep using this program I am at a high risk of developing a brain hemorrhage, among other things, and at times trying to accomplish the simplest things is like asking "uncle sam" to give a poor smuck like me a tax break!  (I am also a 3Ds Max user and love the program)

After countless hours of teeth grinding frustration (I am going to have to go to the dentist now, since most of my molars are tiny blunted stubs that are useless for consuming food) trying to use the library tab, I have learned to use the little black arrow at the upper right side and jump around that way, for me at least it is much quicker and easier than an endless bouncing around inside the folder structure, only to end up most of the time in a place I don't want to be, and/or just giving up altogether and have to start over....
again and again!!!  lol

Another endless trial of frustration is posing figures. I have to agree with all the posts I have read here. My question is: could they have made it more difficult to pose a figure?  I doubt it,
seriously, and please don't feel too bad previous poster, my scenes never end up the way I envisioned them either, sometimes that can be a good thing though (sometimes finding a new way of "seeing" something can produce suprisingly pleasing results...)

Am I a glutton for self-abuse?  I think so, because, even after struggling for many hours to
get a scene right, having to make changes numerous times until the program performs the
functions in the way I want it to, I always go back to this program time and time again to make
yet another attempt to create a scene that has haunted my imagination and just won't leave me
alone. I think this program could be made better (heck, I know it could!), but since it is the only
one we have presently, I will continue to use it (barring any fatal brain hemorrhages that is...) and who knows, we may get lucky in the future and they might actually work some of the bugs out and it will genuinely be a pleasure to work with!

Some of the artwork I've seen here on this site is incredible, and I am
always curious and very impressed with how these artists have done such
an amazing job working with such a jaggernaut of a program...
Truth be told: I have only been working wih poser for a few weeks now
(patience my son, said the wise man, good things come in their own time...   lol)

In conclusion, I would like to say:  ARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!     (lol)

live long and render,

M
