Hi,
Thanks for your posts. I am working on creating a lot of "prop" items that I have not
seen on any of the web sites I have checked out, things that might be useful for
people who need props for different artworks. Props are things that can be found, but
usually cost money and I would like to create a large amount of available props for
people for free download.
I am using 3Ds Max 8, and really love using this program, it is so easy to create with this
3D application, and I know I will be constantly creating various props that could be used
with poser, but I am new to 3D artwork so I am not really sure how to set them up in the
best way for use with poser.
I have already exported .obj files to poser, imported them into poser and tried working
with them, but they always seem to be at the wrong size, and I am having a hard time
making them 'user friendly' for use in poser. So I am looking for some good information
from some experienced people who know the ins and outs of creating props in 3Ds max, the exporting and importing parameters, how to group the various parts in poser and add materials, and finally how to create one file that people can download and install that will
give them the prop at the right size, with the groups and materials all set up for them.
I am interested in any help in any way, since I am new to all of this, I am not sure what
the best way is to do these things.
Hope that is a little clearer than my previous post.
thanks again,
M
