I must have killed a whole tree trying to figure out a Poser acceptible rigging solution before I gave up an back burnered it. My last attempt was trying to make the wings a seperate figure. Still didn't work. Poser is cool... and things like it's displacment mapping are actually better than a lot of other solutions out there, but it's skeleton system is really rather primitive compared with others these days.
