LOL…Now we’re talking! In my profession besides a few other things, I need to have some familiarity with ropes and know about knots. But I’ve taken it a step further particularly for safety reasons so I’ve made certain that my shoe or bootlace never comes undone. We all know what a pain that could sometimes be and at the most inopportune times to. So here’s a page that fits right in with this topic of shoelaces. I know it as Ashley’s knot #1219 the double slipknot from Ashley’s Book of Knots (1944). On this page it’s called Ian’s secure shoelace knot, second one from the top. Keep those render farms going and look up every once in a while.
