@momodot: Thanks for the heads up on RSS. SERIOUSLY...I wasn't aware of that forum until now! Which means I just did all of this the hard way...by learning on the spot! That's a good thing though, as learning never hurts anyone
@face_off: Thanks for the reply! And also for creating SSS! I'm constantly amazed at what some folks can discover with Poser and it's material room!
As for the specular/SSS/displacement/spots maps, I ran all of those through the Universal Texture Converter along with the V3 texture and placed all of these new files into a separate folder for V2. Then I edited the MATPrep file (which is about 900 miles long) and the python script. The tricky part (which Ockham helped me with), was telling the script to use V2 instead of V3 by changing the vertice count and some of the material zones. All told, this took me about 8 hours over two nights and the results make me very happy!!!
BTW face_off, here's a scarey question for ya: Would it be possible to automate the HR script so that it could be used for animation? I'm figuring, as far as rendering out to stills, this could be possible....except that Poser would probably go nuclear!!! Any ideas?
