Poser should ship with taskmanager.. lol
I use it for poser more than any other progam I have. 

In your case one thing that might be happening is poser is hung up on a reference to some file. 

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.

If you can't eat it or play with it,

just pee on it and walk away. :-)
