So what's so special about my (and others') email address that "someone at render" keeps overlooking it when making up these notional packages to sell to spammers?  It's been on the Rendo files for a couple of years now.  I get the ebots and newsletter and all the other stuff from here, Daz and 3DC, and I still get no spam -- none at all, ever.

This isn't gloating, it's just to say that for your accusation to stand up, most everyone here should have this problem.  As it is, we have no clue how many do and how many don't out of the hundreds of thousands of registered members, since only an estimated dozen or so have complained publicly about it (or a figure of that order of magnitude anyhow).  It strikes me that if the problem were as widespread as is believed, the site would be overwhelmed by complaints.
