I would also like to praise Renderosity's tolerance, in the face of such accusations as " I still believe someone at render is selling our emails"

such an unfounded allegation, with absolutely no evidence to back up such claims, and yet it is allowed to be said and is not deleted from these forums!.

on any other 3D site, that would of been deleted, the member would of probally been banned, and probally a warning to all other members that if they make such statements on their boards such as these, that they also would be banned, without a warning.

it shows that there is a freedom of speech, on these boards, even when unfounded allegations are aimed at Renderosity, they allow you to post them.

I believe Renderosity has done all they can to help those members here that are getting spam from ebot notification, and if there was anything else that they could do to help they would!! but i don't see how Rendo' can help any further, as they have done tests at their end and have found nothing.

if we were to turn the tables here and say that when those that are saying that it is Rendo's fault, post these messages saying so, that Rendo' gets an increase in spam!!, Rendo' then contacts these members and informs them that everytime that they are leaving a message, they are noticing an increase of spam in their inbox! said member then responds saying that they will run virus checks and such, to see if there is something on their machine, after checks they respond to Rendo' saying that nothing is showing up on their machine, Rendo' responds again, saying that it is definately happening everytime that said member makes a post, as the spam arrives minutes after they have made the post,

without a doubt somewhere along the route the message from the member to Rendo' is picking up spam!! ..it is not on members machine and they have checked that it is not on any outgoing messages!...but at what point, along the maze of routers along the way between members computer and Rendo's, does it stop being said members fault?

interestingly the "nigerian scam" didn't originate from Renderosity, it is a well written about scam, that affects many internet users, even those that are not members at Renderosity!!

my only advice to those that can't handle getting these spams while they are members of Rendo' is to turn off all E-bot notifications, turn off "receive newsletter", delete your "free hosted" gallery here (then you will get no notification that someone has favourited you or your images) and if you wish to visit these boards and leave messages, then make sure that you uncheck the "Notify me when someone replies" box everytime you post!! safer still is to just not visit Renderosity!!!.

anyway listen to me or not!, i am just another member exercising his "freedom of speech" on these boards, i am not a representative of Renderosity, and my opinions are just that "my opinions"!!, i am just a fellow member that happens to think that Rendo' has done no wrong here, and am voicing my opinion on this matter, as i am free to do so............so i did!!
