Yeah, this starting in '03 (or was it '04) when Mars WAS at it's closest that it will be for many years. But it is a hoax -- nowhere near as bright or big as the earth's moon. Get up early in the morning tomorrow though and look West around 4AM. You will see what looks like two glowing red eyes. Mars and Aldebaran form the eyes of the bull in Taurus. From marsdaily.com: "...So ... you should forget about Mars on August 27th, right? Not so fast. While there won't be Two Moons on August 27th, there will be Two Eyes. At 3 o'clock in the morning on that date, Mars will rise in the eastern sky alongside the red giant star Aldebaran. The two red lights side-by-side will resemble two eerie, unblinking eyes. This is worth waking up for."
