A simple technique is to set up your whole scene using the Poser mannequin, the little woodie man. Then when everything is as you want it, you just load the figure you want, and Poser will ask you if you want to add the figure to the scene, or replace the one in the scene. Depending on which figure you are using, you may have to make slight adjustments. I use this when I have to set up scenes with five or six characters, and Poser normaol becomes too slow to handle that.
