I don't know if this may help you, but you can get a free pair of slippers similar to that in the post/thread linked above. The only thing is that they are for the Aiko3 figure, so you will have to scale them to fit the Freak. There is a link to them in one of the posts by CaptainJack1, as he made them. You will have to give them a leather texture though. Hope that helps some.
