Subject: Is there any size limitation on the runtime folder?

Yarp: Not sure how you'd make that work. I assume you'd need to read the reference information in the cr2 for the obj/texture location and then install the files to that location creating directories as required, same for textures. But for the plugin to work fully - as in install an item for use and uninstall it when finished with, it would also need to keep an install log. Even if that log is plain text it could grow to a considerable size depending on how much information is stored and for how long and whether the size/length of time is user configurable. It couldn't be an automatic process unless the plugin could "detect" the location of Poser (possibly a simple Poser.exe search might do) because there are awkward people out there like me who don't have Poser installed in the usual location. Nice idea, and I hope you get it to work as that would be a really neat feature. :) Being able to install all files for something then remove them again following that use would save me hours in drive clean up time, and a lot of space.
