That's true. A bit late and did it the long way. :)
Maybe precision is an issue here. If the value is seen as .49999..., when it really is .5 that might tip the balance for the lower truncation.
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.
