Okay...I'm prepared to try a test.

I recently acquired a new client to build a website.

The domain has been resolved but there are NO E-mail addresses assigned to it yet (Except the main admin account which has never EVER been used to send or receive E-Mail.

So..essentially..it's a clean slate.

Brand new domain with no e-mail either to or from it has been sent or received...in fact...I don't even have it set up in my E-Mail Client yet  (Nor does my client)

He has given his blessing that I can create dummy accounts in the interest of testing this (He's a good friend and a good guy)

So...what I'm prepared to do on this recently reformatted machine, in which no e-Mail has been set up on it yet, is to create a unique E-Mail account on it using this brand new domain.

This will only be used for receiving Rosoty E-Mail (But not replying)

I'll detach it from my LAN so there will be no way of it acquiring e-mail addresses or any other information from my other machines

This new box has a brand new Hard Drive, no E-mail accounts on it yet,nor does it have an address book. (Basically it's Windows XP, with Office 2003 installed on it..and nothing more)

I'll change my rosity account notification e-mail to the new "receive" e-mail address...and use it for nothing but testing this.(In other words...I'll not use it to send or receive e-mail to friends ,family, etc.)

I'll change my Rosity notifications to "None"...then one at a time..enable notifications for various parts of the site. (Forums, Newsletter, etc.)

When(and if )I start to get Spam on this account...I'll report at which point I start to get it.( if at all)

E-mail send/receive will be set to be checked every 1 minute.

This should show if it's a catch-all domain problem (in which I'll be sure is disabled for now),or if it's E-Bot Specific...or..if I get any SPAM at all.

The only way to conduct a test of this sort is to start with a clean slate.

New Box

New Hard Drive

New Domain

New E-mail address.

Otherwise...other elements could be considered a compromise.

Is it agreed that this test would rule out possibilities..and help narrow down why this is happening?

If not...I'll not bother doing it ,because it'll take a lot of my time setting it up and testing it.

This will also reduce the same questions being asked over and over.

Results will be presented in an unbiased way.

As I said...if it is "proved' that Rosity is "Intentionally" harvesting, and selling their E-Mail database...I'll be the first to disassociate myself with this site.

So if I were to do the above outlined test...would that be a satisfactory test to settle this once and for all?

Believe me...although my frustration of re-answering the same questions over and over surfaces from time to time...I'm as interested as the next guy in solving this.
