If the vendor sent an email to you directly, I'm not sure how they got your email address.  The only way that you would have received an email from a vendor through our system is being a previous buyer of theirs, and them sending out an update email.

If you received an ebot about a new release, then that vendor must be on your favorites list, otherwise they sent it to you directly and not through any of our systems.
