CrossDresser has an option to leave the mesh-grouping unchanged. This will theoretically allow you to transfer existing morphs from the original item to the new item afterward.>
... and thanks for this idea! I tried this and it worked. I used Crossdresser to convert an A3 skirt to V3, and then used Morph Manager to add the original morphs back into the converted skirt. While most these morphs were of course made for A3, it did include morphs like "Skirt Longer" that are very useful on any figure. The A3 morphs are now combined with V3 morphs I added with Netherworks' V3 Cloth Kit, giving me a skirt that can fit almost any V3 body morph I come up with.
