What you are experiencing might be due to monitor calibration --
or (as is more usually the case) uncallibration.  LOL

My Good Buddy (TM) Google's ravens have seen about 2,790,000
results for that topic.  Sorry to report that there is not enough space
in this message window to list all of them.  LOL

There is also a hardware assist to address this issue: the ColorVision
Spyder.  Keep in mind that this product requires Windoze XP -- that's
another reason I should upgrade my desktop PC.
