Attached Link: Monitor Calibration

It's the Fall season ... and the leaves should look like fire.

I like the way it looks.

OTOH, I'll bet the the new PC also has a new monitor ... Yes?

What you are experiencing might be due to monitor calibration --
or (as is more usually the case) uncallibration.  LOL

My Good Buddy (TM) Google's ravens have seen about 2,790,000
results for that topic.  Sorry to report that there is not enough space
in this message window to list all of them.  LOL

There is also a hardware assist to address this issue: the ColorVision
Spyder.  Keep in mind that this product requires Windoze XP -- that's
another reason I should upgrade my desktop PC.

HTH but YMMV

Looks good to me. The colors look crisp and vibrant. You might want to calibrate your monitor.

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

Looks good to me....MGD is correct, If you have a new monitor, it's likely in need of calibration.
Unfortunately, I think that probably 90% of folks never calibrate their monitors....they just fire them up right out of the box.

So, I guess that means if my uploaded image looks good to me...it will look crappy to 90% of the folks that view it!  LOL!

In youth, we learn....with age, we understand.

James, your pic is great, wonderful colours.  I have put my outback shots on my PC and my friends laptop and the difference in colour and contrast is huge....perhaps just play with your moniter settings (contrast/brightness) and print sometimething out to see if it's to your liking...as I have one shot that brings out more detail on the laptop, on mine it is very darkened....even the ones i have uploaded to RR like brighter on here than when i view them at home...
hope this helps

Looks fine to me and some good advice given re calibration:

You did not mention what software you are using for example your photoshop settings may need to be adjusted if they are using the old monitor profiles..

sorry its my original flat screen monitor .... he just built new tower up ..

MGD ( ) posted Mon, 15 October 2007 at 8:43 AM

he just built new tower up

The video card in the new tower might be causing the monitor to
behave differently.

Did the calibration site help?

The monitor does not hold the calibrated profile, the computer does. I think what happened is the default color profile for your monitor got changed when you changed computers. Did you do a reinstall of the system software (windows)?

I'll leave the techie stuff  to others who are more knowledgable....

It looks good to me. Not too dark, not too light. Right in the middle, and the colors look perfectly natural.

I hope that gives you some comfort while you figure out how to fix your problem...

James not sure if this will help you, but just right click  your monitor screen, select PROPERTIES...SETTINGS and set your colour to 32 bit...and see if makes a difference to you
