VF is Virtual Fashion. I was one of the few people who fell for the hype when it came out. It doesn't produce the best of meshes for Poser and I only have the Virtual Fashion 1.0 Basic for Poser. There was an upgrade that supposedly made better meshes but I don't know of anyone who bought it after the makers of the software tried to Strong Arm PhilC into dropping his own clothing making products.

In answer to your question, no, it's not the easiest thing to use and everything I've made in it has had to be touched up in other applications to work smoothly in Poser. Keep doing what you're doing though. You're producing some nice starters.

Doctor Geep surely has some good tutorials on creating Material zones. If not him, someone else maybe. Material Zones are made by grouping the area's you want for each material. I clean up all the material zones from VF using Poser's very own grouping tool. Look for some tutorials on UV mapping and it'll help you figure out material zones. A good place to start would probably be the UVMapper forum right here.
