Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
Geez! I don't routinely look in a mirror to see my facial expression prior to kissing. However, I'm also not shy and if I'm interested in kissing a guy I'll just make the first move so I doubt I've ever had that particular facial expression you are talking about,
"It is good to see ourselves as
others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we
are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not
angry with our critics but will take in good
heart whatever they might have to
say." - Ghandi
Oh oh. What have I started here? Heh.
I've been doing close poses for awhile, and decided to try expression for this one.
You know, it's harder than I thought. In a kiss pose, the kiss tells the story, but in
this one I'm working on, her face must tell the viewer what's about to happen. Oh well.
I'll master this, it's fun anyway. Despite having a nice starting point for this pose using
one of the 'Strings" set from RuntimeDNA, it took me over five hours to tweek the pose
for Michael 3 and Aiko 3, and add my own touches. :) I'm stubborn that way.

Right now she's looking like, "Is he really gonna kiss me...I think he is" She's missing the horny. Make it more passionate instead of scared. I'd close her eyes a bit...like, "Come on bubba!" The open eyes look more like she's wondering. You discribed anticipation and impatience, meaning she's so ready for that kiss...she's feeling the passion. Puckering up for Johnny come lately...
If you can, rent the movie "Meet Joe Black". The lead actress Claire Forlani has some love scenes with Brad Pitt and before he kisses her the first time she has that "Kiss me dammit" expression.

Acadia, nice capture! She's definitely looking impatient. That'll give me something to
go with.
**SSAfam1, You're right. I was thinking about closing her eyes a bit more, but didn't
know if it would make her look impatient enough. The pic Acadia provided proves
otherwise. :)
Unicornst, I'll do that. Worry is not really needed as she is getting what she wanted. :)
I'll try the mouth closed with a bit of pucker power. :)
Thanks all. That'll get me started. Heh.

Here's an old-fashioned (and deadly honest) version of the
Kiss Me Dammit approach:

In my opinion, The expression you are looking for is in alot of animes
They always have the scenario, girl likes guy, girl wants guy to make the movie etc etc
Thats a pretty cute scene, Did you do that pose by hand? or did you use a pack? I'm planning to make a scene like that in the future.
Don't let failures get to your heart, and also do not let success get to your head.
Greywolf,
I like it a lot! Her gaze is right on too.
You didn't ask for suggestions on the guy, but can he get a suit and some grooming? Maybe even some color? It would be so much more romantic if the guy didnt look like Billy from the gas station. OR is this meant to be along the lines of, "Vampire capturing the beauty" for Halloween?
I, alas, don't have a lot of textures for M3 or D3. He has the skin tone of a cured vamp, like
from my other Shadow Hound pics. I plan to use the defuse color to add a bit of color to it.
Like I did with Camilla, and am trying with Grigorio. :) The pose is a heavily altered version
of a pose from the 'Strings' set for the G2 figures at RuntimeDNA. To make it for Mike and
Aiko took a bit of altering, and I moved his hands from her face to her shoulders, as I wanted
her expression to be seen clearly. I'm doing the scene now, and will render them, combined,
in DAZ Studio when I'm done. :)
Rebekah, I did as you suggested, the smile has a touch of the smug about it. I kinda like it.
It says that she got him without using her magic. :)
jjroland, hmmmm. Not sure I'd want anything to do with a girl who likes a guy who beats her.
Who woulda thought such an old film would have a line like that, though I can imagine the
outcry if it happened today!

I need some help with expression. Since this expression is an a feminine face, I'll ask the
ladies for advice. :) What we have here, is a young lady about to get kissed. Since she has
been trying to get him to this point for some time, I want her expression to be anticipation,
with perhaps a touch of impatience. I'm a guy, though, so my experience in this is rather
limited. This is what I've come up with so far. Any advice on this, or did I manage to hit it
fairly well. (not likely) Heh.
