Try this ...**Tool Collection for Poser**  -shown in the link above, it contains ***Extract Embedded Geometry* ** which extracts the geometry embedded in the Poser files to an external obj-file. 

Nice and easy to use, saves hours of hassle - re-writes the .CR2  correctly. 
Never had any trouble with it, I'd say just this tool from the collection was worth the purchase price in it's own right.
